The UX/UI Designer will be a part of a rapidly growing New Product Innovation team with opportunities to collaborate with various department’s including, Engineering, Purchasing, Commercial, Sales, Project Management and more! This opportunity is part-time with a requirement of approximately 20-25 hours per week.Our Company:Jule is a Toronto-based all-in-one solution provider of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Electric Vehicle Fast Charging (EVFC). It has also partnered with corporate and legislative entities across multiple territories to solve the modern challenges of energy storage and distribution.   • Designing intuitive user interfaces and engaging user experiences for our digital platforms.
  • Collaborating with product managers and engineers to refine and realize digital design solutions.
  • Conducting user research and testing to inform design decisions.
  • Ensuring brand consistency across all user touchpoints.
  • Lead the design efforts for our Driver's App and Site Host Dashboard, focusing on creating seamless and engaging user experiences.
  • Apply your UX/UI expertise to enhance our Energy Management SaaS, making complex energy data understandable and actionable for our users.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to bring your design visions to life.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to ensure our digital products are both intuitive and effective.
  • Maintain visual and brand consistency across all digital platforms to ensure a cohesive user experience.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN::

  • Deep insights into the renewable energy sector, focusing on BESS and EVFC.
  • The process of integrating user-centered design principles into product development in a tech-focused environment.
  • Effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to turn ideas into user-friendly digital products.
  • The balance of aesthetics and functionality in creating designs that meet both user needs and business goals.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • A bachelor’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in UX/UI design, including internships or related projects.
  • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, InVision).
  • Understanding of responsive design and the ability to prototype interactive user interfaces.
  • Experience with user research and usability testing.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your UX/UI design skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for solving complex design challenges.
  • Team player open to feedback and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Legal entitlement to work in Canada (valid work permit required for international candidates).

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field.
  • Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience in the energy sector or related fields is a plus.
