About The Opportunity

WhereTo, a part of the Flight Centre family, is a dynamic team focused on revolutionizing business travel through innovative technology solutions. As a nimble, startup-minded team within a larger organization, we're committed to building the next-generation business travel platform that serves SMB and Enterprise clients handled by Corporate Traveler and FCM, respectively.

Position Overview:

WhereTo is seeking a UX Researcher II to join our prototyping team and contribute to solving some of the most interesting challenges in business travel. In this role, you will lead and coordinate UX research efforts, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze insights that inform product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact qualified customers to participate in research activities, adhering to participant criteria and project timelines.
  • Schedule and incentivize research participants, ensuring no over-recruitment.
  • Lead discovery sessions, user interviews, and usability tests, documenting insights gathered.
  • Assist in analyzing research data, including reviewing session recordings, processing survey data, and identifying patterns.
  • Monitor product analytics, NPS data, and user behavioral analytics to inform research efforts and product improvements.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in UX research, market research, or a related field.
  • Interest or related experience in the travel tech sector is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in UX research techniques, including moderated and unmoderated usability testing, surveys, and interviews.
  • Ability to analyze research data effectively, identifying patterns and insights to inform product decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage research activities and interact confidently with customers.
  • Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team of researchers, designers, product managers, and developers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools such as Outlook, Teams, and Excel, as well as familiarity with productivity tools like Slack and Jira.
  • Familiarity with wireframing, prototyping, testing and analytics tools such as Figma/Figjam, Adobe XD, UserTesting.com, Hotjar and/or Amplitude.
  • Bonus points if you have experience in HTML/CSS/JS or product development, you have a background in entrepreneurship or consulting

Location – Remote, Canada

The role can be performed onsite, remote or on a hybrid schedule, in compliance with the Company’s Remote and Flexible Work Policy.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $100,000 - $110,000. Base salary is dependent on relevant factors, including experience, geographic location, and job requirements.
