User Experience Designer Intern

Lantronix is seeking a User Experience Designer Intern who possesses a willingness to learn about web technologies and online marketing concepts, and to become an indispensable asset and resource to the entire organization. They will also be working closely with seasoned engineers. Flexible hours (10-40 hours per week) and willing to accommodate students’ class schedules.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn how to create cutting-edge web applications that push the envelope in web technology avenues such as multimedia, user experience elements and marketing tools into which brands can build equity
• Help create mockups (comps), prototypes and wireframes of UI designs and page components that achieve site objectives, in coordination with brand needs, marketing direction, usability and user experience standards
• Design and implement site branding in alignment with marketing objectives that create a superior customer experience and drive incremental revenue, passengers and profit, while adhering to coding and architecture standards
• Work closely with brands to establish user experience principles and guidelines across their web applications and marketing material.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 0-2+ years of experience
• Must be actively enrolled in college with preference of junior or senior standing at the start of the internship.
• We are looking for a student who is seeking a 4-year college degree with focus on User Experience, Web Design or related coursework.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Sketch and wire framing tools
• Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 would be a plus
• Strong work ethic and interest in subject matter
• 3.0 or higher grade point average is preferred.
