Join our fast growing team at TikTok in the Bay area (San Jose, CA) to work on AR features that help evolve and drive impact for TikTok globally.We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2024. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2024. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship cycles below:1.May 20, 2024 to August 9, 20242.May 27, 2024 to August 16, 20243.June 10, 2024 to August 30, 2024We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. • Work with cross functional teams including product managers, researchers, UX writers, and engineers to envision and execute impactful product experiences globally.
• Assist multiple projects for design from strategy to launch, ensuring we're shipping meaningful and quality experiences.
• Provide multiple solutions based on user needs, business goals, and technical constraints for any given project.
• Create end-to-end user flows, both low and high fidelity, and prototypes as needed.
• Review product releases qualitatively and through data, pre and post launch to ensure high quality experiences are reaching millions of TikTok users.
• Assist design workshops and sprints with cross-functional teams to explore innovative solutions for problems and opportunities identified through research and data.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master degree in interaction design, HCI, communication design, or a related discipline.
• Experience in UX design for consumer-facing products, or portfolio demonstrating strong skill set.
• Knowledge of working with Figma, Sketch, Flinto, Adobe Creative Suite, and OSX, iOS & Android.
• Ability to rapidly iterate and produce multiple concepts.
• Great communication skills to be able to articulate your concepts, vision and decision-making.
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt to a fast growing environment.
• Solid interaction and visual skills.
• Detail oriented and has great organizational skills.
• Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduating December 2024 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship.
• Knowledge in product interaction design and HCI.
• Passionate about a/b testing and a data driven practice.
• Ability to fit within a startup culture which celebrates efficiency and driving impact.

We cover 100% premium coverage for Full-Time intern medical insurance after 90 days from the date of hire. Medical coverage only, no dental or vision coverage.​Our time off and leave plans are: Paid holidays and paid sick leave.
