We’re on a mission to help our clients unleash the full potential of software in the cloud – and we’re hiring a new Product Designer to make that happen. If you are passionate about driving customer outcomes by developing best-in-class software that is driven by the most advanced tools and practices available, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

As part of our new Application Development – Digital Acceleration team, you will work closely with a cross-section of Softchoice’s most innovative experts and architects. From designing and developing tailored application solutions to coaching and consulting teams and cultures to success, you will lead the way on how to enable companies to achieve high-quality outcomes for their businesses.

Your key mission will be to develop a Product-based approach in consulting projects and collaborate with engineering in bringing that vision to life. These projects will include advanced cloud application development and deployment scenarios involving DevOps methodologies and tooling, delivered in an Agile first approach.

Your leadership will be crucial for the success of an Azure-centric development team where the client expectations are aligned with the achieved outcome.


What you’ll do:

  • Delivering excellence: Envisioning, ideating, designing, and delivering delightfully thoughtful human-centric digital products that make a real impact on business success and value.
  • On a daily basis, you will work with customers in a consulting capacity to understand their business requirements and use your product design experience to show case what Softchoice has to offer.
  • Truly Full-Stack and Cross Functional: From research and design to product management and delivery, you are comfortable to step outside the box and your comfort zone by taking on both Designer & Product roles.
  • Leading by collaboration: Working with software developers, application architects, QA engineers, and operations teams to deliver on – and exceed – client expectations. You will also team up with SME’s, practice leads and vendors to fine tune our strategy and overcome obstacles to adoption at every step.
  • Evangelizing the New: Driving customer success by championing better ways of solving problems. As consultants, our customers rely on us to lead the way forward. You will be a key part of their journey.


What you’ll bring to the table:

  • College diploma, university degree, or equivalent alternative learning experience.
  • Experience in Product Design: market and user research, wireframing, prototyping, and delivery of digital products through Agile Product Delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with various Design methodologies, including Design Thinking, Design Sprints, and Human-Centric Design.
  • Experience in product ideation and envisioning.
  • Experience in pitching and securing buy-in for new products from business stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that enable you to masterfully work with your team members that form a diverse background of skills and expertise.
  • Having worked in Agile Product Delivery teams before, you have an appreciation for engineering best practices.
  • Experience in Agile Product Management tools, methodologies, and best practices is a bonus.
  • Experience in consulting and external stakeholders is a bonus.
