SUMMARY

As a Junior UX Designer at Think Shift, you will support the design process, putting the finishing touches on design that is released to the world. You will work in primarily digital mediums, completing designs with an attention to detail and accuracy. You will collaborate with members of the UX and Creative teams in a fun and fast-paced environment, gaining valuable insights and experience as you support the team with your design skills.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist in producing visual communication designs for digital and print mediums
  • Ensure designs meet client brand standards, production specifications and quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with various team members to gain insights for your design projects.
  • Manage internal/client feedback and revisions.
  • Estimate hours required to complete tasks and adhere to project plans and timelines.
  • Review and proof design work (yours and others) to ensure a quality finished product.
  • Prepare and package digital assets for developers.
  • Prepare and package print-ready files for vendors.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Technical Skills & Education

  • Degree in Fine Arts/Graphic Design; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 1-2 years of graphic design experience (portfolio required).
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud design software (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Basic understanding of print production, and file handling.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
  • Basic experience with Figma is a plus.
  • Knowledge of UX best practices and WCAG accessibility compliance and guidelines is a plus.
  • Ability to provide constructive design feedback to designers and vendor partners.
  • Experience completing projects on time and on budget in a fast-paced, deadline-intensive environment.
  • Ability to solve problems independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with multiple deadlines simultaneously.
