About the Role

The Junior Experience Writer is responsible for supporting the creation and development of written content across various digital channels to enhance the overall user experience. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to craft engaging messaging, contribute to brand voice and tone guidelines, and assist in delivering consistent and impactful content. The Junior Experience Writer will have the opportunity to refine their writing skills, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to the success of the organization's content strategy.

What You'll Do

  • Create high-quality, engaging, and persuasive written content primarily for website banner ads and/or email campaigns but potentially websites, mobile apps, and social media as well.
  • Craft clear and concise messaging that effectively communicates key brand messages, product information, value propositions, and calls to action.
  • Contribute ideas and creative input during content brainstorming and strategy sessions.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure seamless integration of written content into visual and interactive elements.
  • Help develop and maintain brand voice and tone guidelines, ensuring consistency in messaging across all customer touchpoints.
  • Utilize research and data to inform content development and enhance user experience.
  • Edit and proofread content for grammar, style, clarity, and accuracy, adhering to brand guidelines and industry standards.
  • Support the optimization of content for search engine optimization (SEO) purposes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to content creation and user experience.
  • Assist in conducting content audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing content and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Help analyze user feedback to provide insights for content refinement and enhancing the user experience.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in writing and content strategy.
  • Contribute to thought leadership content on experience design topics.

What You'll Need

  • 1-3 years of experience creating content for digital experiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A portfolio of diverse written content across different channels (ideally including banners and email)
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated creativity and a passion for writing and storytelling.
  • Familiarity with digital content creation and understanding of user experience principles.
  • Basic understanding of content strategy, branding, and messaging.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information from various sources.
  • Good time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and willingness to take direction from senior writers and mentors.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, UX/UI design, or related areas is a plus.
