We are looking for a motivated Product Designer to join our team. This role focuses on both improvements to the existing product designs as well as new product solutions. We are looking for someone who is curious, who takes ownership, who tests out-of-the-box ideas, and who fails forward to join us in an egoless pursuit of product design excellence.

About Scrawlr

Scrawlr is building a platform to facilitate innovative forms of communication and interaction within a new digital context, with the goal of making a meaningful impact on an ever-evolving digital landscape. We are in an ongoing closed beta phase, and are looking to bring on exceptional individuals as we progress towards an initial public release. Compensation

$65k - 72k per annum plus an options grant commensurate with capacity for contribution to the team

Responsibilities

  • Work with leadership to understand requirements and scope projects;
  • Create architecture, flows, interface designs, and interactive prototypes;
  • Contribute to our Figma design library;
  • Create detailed designs and documentation;
  • Collaborate with developers on technical planning and conduct QA on the latest product builds;
  • Conduct usability tests to gather product feedback;
  • Understand customers and their needs through market analysis, customer research, and feedback.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • At least two (2) years of professional experience as a Product or UX/UI Designer.
  • A compelling portfolio showcasing the breadth of your experience and the ability to clearly articulate the design thinking behind your work.
  • A deep understanding of best practices in web and mobile design.
  • Pride in creating and maintaining excellent design standards.
  • A strong proficiency with design and prototyping applications (We use Figma).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment.
