Our large, well-known hospitality client is looking for a content designer to join their team for a 6+ month contract. The content designer will be a strong voice for content quality and consistency across digital platforms. You will be a member of the experience design team and will write, organize, and edit content that is compelling and user-focused.
This remote position is a 6+ month W2 contract. All McKinley roles include a competitive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Engage with Research & Optimization and Analytics teams to ensure users’ content needs and expectations are met
- Collaborate with research and testing to identify learning opportunities
- Facilitate content audits and content discovery
- Create sitemaps, content audits, and content architecture documents
- Write user-focused interface, descriptive, and editorial content, navigational nomenclature, and other content
- Partner with UX and UI designers to shape the user experience through language, components, and interaction patterns
- Proofread content before publishing
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure the collection of all relevant information/content
- Participate in internal and stakeholder reviews to ensure products meet business and user objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
- Knowledge of content design, UX, and accessibility best practices
- Experience as a copywriter, content designer, or UX writer
- Experience working in content management systems (CMS)
- Familiarity with sitemaps, content plans, wireframes, and other artifacts used to communicate content strategy
- Adherence to the tone of voice guidelines and brand standards with strong grammar, writing, and editing skills
- Online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience
- Experience using design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Xd, or Figma
