About Motion

Motion is growing fast (3x YoY), our product is sticky (120%+ Net Revenue Retention) and we recently raised $6M in seed funding. But we’re just getting started and we need your help.

We’re building a new category of software to bridge the gap between performance marketers and creative teams.

Our creative analytics platform offers fast, visual reporting for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube ads to help teams understand what’s working and why.

Our customers are top ecom and DTC brands like Vuori, True Classic, The Farmer’s Dog, HexClad and hundreds more. They’ve used Motion to analyze over $3B in media spend.

A strong community is forming around Motion and we have many exciting product features in the roadmap.

We’re looking for a part-time brand designer. This is a contract position and remote from anywhere.

Your job will be to help us execute a wide range of design tasks including event branding, social media content, landing pages, and YouTube thumbnails.

About the role

We’ve already built early success with our inbound content, incredible virtual events, and rock-solid product-market fit.

We will keep blowing up our content, swing bigger with virtual events, and expand our content distribution in 2024.

For this role, we’re looking for someone to work under our Senior Brand Designer to help us with our weekly design workload.

This is a contract / freelance position. So it is totally fine if you have a full-time job or other freelance clients. The contract is for 10 hours per week to start.

The ideal candidate has senior design experience with an exceptional eye for detail.

Specifically, we’ll ask that you:

- Deliver high-quality design work with little supervision: You know how to nail the brief and deliver under deadlines. Work will include tasks such as designing landing pages, social ads, visuals for social, branding and images for virtual events, YouTube thumbnails, and other small design tasks.

- Work in Figma, Slack, and Adobe: You’ll need to deliver all designs using Figma (as that is what our team uses). This is a contract role so there are no set hours but you will need to join our Slack channels for communication about projects and a few internal design review meetings. Plus, you’ll be expected to work in Photoshop and Illustrator.

- Use your illustration skills: This work involves using illustration skills to design elements such as icons that are unique to our brand and not based on stock assets. Illustration skills are a requirement.

How to apply:

Please submit a portfolio including:

1) A social post such as a carousel, social ad, or a YouTube thumbnail

2) A guide or example of typesetting

3) A landing page or web example

4) Examples of blog visuals or content marketing assets

5) Example of custom icons and illustrations you’ve done.

Note: while you are welcome to submit a cover letter, for this role we will lean more on your portfolio samples. So just submitting exceptional samples and a link to your LinkedIn profile will be enough!

Once we review portfolios, we’ll contact you for a short interview. The rate is negotiable and hours are flexible.
