Job Description : UI/UX Designer

Designs web pages and develops web-based technical solutions that engage users and meet business requirements. Handles projects from conceptualization through delivery. Develops and applies creative designs, ensuring that content meets brand standards and targets the intended audience. Uses knowledge of front-end platforms, frameworks, and languages to deliver high-quality site and application designs. Tests and improves site usability while ensuring optimal performance on a variety of browsers.


What You Can Expect:

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design the user experience, blending business needs, technological capabilities, and platform constraints to produce usable experiences.
  • Define, execute, and synthesize research insights to leverage the customer voice.
  • Plan, conduct, and lead design meetings
  • Prepare for and lead design sprints.
  • Deliver low/hi-fi prototypes and work with Developers to make sure the prototype we are getting clients excited about can be built outside our imaginations.
  • Work with UX design related software and tools including Figma, Mural, Sketch and InVision
  • Create wireframes, journey maps, user personae, and other design artifacts.
  • Run design workshops with our teams where we help them understand their customers, and envision ways to solve user pain points

Tools for Success:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a designer and can clearly articulate how you contributed to improving UX on a variety of projects (there will be commensurate responsibilities and compensation based on years of experience)
  • Familiarity with how the digital development process works from strategy to user research, information architecture, and visual design.
  • Ability to see beyond the obvious to craft innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • This role requires the willingness and ability to be onsite at either the PCS Houston or New Jersey offices to maximize in-person collaboration and build stronger relationships.

Applies user-centered design principles to improve the workflow, expand the functionality, and enhance the visual appeal of websites and mobile apps. Gathers requirements from users and stakeholders, defines information architecture, creates sample user personas, and documents user workflow. Designs wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. Applies the results from user research and usability testing to create new features and improve current features. Requires knowledge of visual design and wireframing/prototyping tools. May perform user research, usability testing, or facilitate focus groups. May require familiarity with various graphic design software packages.

Reports to a supervisor or manager.


Role Level -Intermediate : Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.

Typically requires 1-2 years of related experience. Exempt position.
