About The Job

We're looking for an Associate Product Designer to support our team of talented Product Designers. As a member of the Taskrabbit Product Design team you will manage our Design System and component library, partner with designers on their projects, and coordinate / conduct user research sessions.

This position works closely with product designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, data analysts and stakeholders to create designs that reflect business requirements, support user needs, delight, and are technically feasible. Qualified candidates will be experienced product designers who can manage our figma component library and design system, coordinate and facilitate research sessions, and turn ideas into elegant solutions. Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate grit, accountability, and craft
  • Uphold our design team values
  • Support our team by building and maintaining our Design System component library, in Figma
  • Coordinate and conduct remote usability studies
  • Pair with other Designers on the team to assist their projects
  • Share early, share often

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a product design role (UX and visual design)
  • Intermediate Figma skills, including components, variants, variables, and branching
  • Ability to think in systems, process, and abstract frameworks
  • Familiarity with modern user research methods, including remote usability testing
  • Interaction design and prototyping skills
  • Hands-on, direct experience conducting user research studies and interviews
  • Able to facilitate cross-functional activities in Figjam
  • A positive attitude, an open mind, and a desire to collaborate and learn
  • Strong communication skills; the ability to clearly explain your design decisions and process to anyone in the company
  • A strategic thinker, able to think big picture and make recommendations at the 10,000 foot level for the product
  • Impeccable attention to detail

Bonus Skills

  • Knowledge of front end markup: HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Multi-sided marketplace experience

Compensation & Benefits:

At Taskrabbit, our approach to compensation is designed to be competitive, transparent and equitable. total compensation consists of base pay + bonus + benefits + perks.

The base pay range for this position is $98,000 to $113,000. This range is representative of base pay only, and does not include any other total cash compensation amounts, such as company bonus or benefits. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, and will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, geography, and level.
