UX Research Intern
Job location: our office in Ottawa, Canada (preferred) or Remote; Canada (EST Time Zone)

About The Team
The UX team at Kinaxis is transforming the user experience of our product, RapidResponse. You’ll be integrated right into the UX team and treated like a permanent employee. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, designers and other researchers on exciting and challenging research projects. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment, learn new skills and gain valuable real-world experience.
What you will do
Help broaden and accelerate UX research & testing at Kinaxis:
- Create and execute usability tests
- Work with UX designers to identify what to test (e.g. areas of risk or uncertainty).
- Write study protocols.
- Schedule and conduct moderated usability tests AND/OR prepare and execute unmoderated tests.
- Analyze results.
- Summarize and present findings.
- Support research activities
- Schedule and conduct interviews with users.
- Create surveys.
- Analyze results.
- Summarize and present findings.
- Use Alchemer to create surveys.
- Use Condens to analyze data and write reports.
- Use Miro for collaborative story-mapping, brainstorming, and early concept generation.
- Use Figma to collaborate on hi-fidelity visual designs and prototypes.
- May perform additional projects as assigned.
What we are looking for
- An education in user experience research, psychology (experimental, social, cognitive), sociology, anthropology, human computer interaction, human factors, or a related field.
- Demonstrable research expertise
- Strong communication skills, team-orientation and are responsive to feedback.
- Curiosity, empathy and attention to detail
- A strong desire to create great products, and a motivation to keep learning and improving.
