MRM New York is hiring Product Designers for the Design and Experience team. We are hiring across different levels of experience.

As a Product Designer, you will be involved in all aspects of product design and development, from research and ideation, through detailed design and testing, to implementation and learning. You’ll help drive the roadmap, presenting and evaluating options, and crafting the approach.

Responsibilities

  • Apply user-centered design skills and knowledge to create impactful digital solutions to solve user needs and drive business value
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
  • Design efforts at all levels of fidelity including whiteboard, wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes
  • Collaborate with a diverse group of co-workers, including strategists, product managers, developers, data analysts, and executives
  • Develop the product vision in conjunction with the product manager on your team. Execute across all design stages from concept to final hand-off
  • Convey your ideas and communicate your solutions to the broader team & stakeholders

Skills/Qualifications

  • Product Design experience
  • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, product, industrial) or a related field of equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to handle a complex design system
  • A portfolio that illustrates complex problem-solving ability, comprehension of fundamental development frameworks, and design skills; specifically, ideation sketches, flow maps, wireframes, web and/or mobile app product designs, visual design projects or website builds
  • Initiative to learn about and advocate for the user
  • An eye for detail and an ability to see the big picture
  • Ability to adapt to new projects quickly
  • Comfort working directly with clients
  • An excellent communicator and storyteller

The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $205,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
