ManageBetter is a fast-growing startup on a mission to provide meaningful feedback to employees and managers through our performance feedback software. Our customer base includes Facebook, Google, Amazon, Walmart, and Home Depot, and we are currently seeking an Associate Product Designer I with a strong design background and expertise in web application design to join our team.

As an Associate Product Designer I focused on web applications, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver user-centered designs for our web-based performance feedback software. Your role will involve creating wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes, as well as conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions. This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual who possesses a passion for web design and enjoys solving complex design problems.

The core team is located in Seattle, but due to the pandemic, we are now a remote team. You can live anywhere in Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES

At ManageBetter, we thrive on wearing multiple hats. Job responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and user needs
  • Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts for web applications
  • Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that align with web design best practices
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs
  • Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs into web applications
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in web design and user experience
  • Assist in maintaining design systems and style guides for consistent user experiences across our web application
  • Effectively communicate design ideas and concepts to stakeholders
  • Manage design deliverables within project timelines

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Web Development, or a related field
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and web design best practices
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for effective collaboration with developers
  • Experience with responsive and mobile-first design approaches
  • Familiarity with usability testing methodologies and user research techniques
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in design work
  • A portfolio demonstrating web design projects and problem-solving abilities
