Associate Product Designer

As Marqeta’s Associate Product Designer, you'll be a key player in our dynamic product design team. This role is perfect for a recent graduate who is eager to dive into real-world design challenges in the payments industry. You'll collaborate with diverse squads to address a variety of intricate and engaging issues, contributing directly to product decisions and innovations.We work Flexible First. • A passion for solving complex problems for a range of users, from individual cardholders to large enterprises.
• A love for UX research driving design decisions with the ability to create design concepts based on data and insights.

• Strong communication skills capable of spanning detailed peer reviews to high-level presentations.
• Ability to work closely with engineering, product managers, and other stakeholders to influence product strategy, design, and execution.

Who You Are

• A portfolio that showcases strong product design skills and contains examples of product, visual, and interaction design examples.
• A foundational understanding of end user research, UI, UX, and visual design, with a strong desire to further develop these skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities to articulate your design process and decisions.
• Eagerness to champion the design discipline and contribute positively to team discussions.
• Self-motivation to proactively enhance the product experience and expand your professional capabilities as a designer.
• A degree or qualification in a related field such as Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, or Graphic Design.

To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location.When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location.The new-hire base salary range for this position, reflected in CAD, is: 72,000 - 96,000
